History

Chris grew up in a small town in Outback Australia. The outdoors have always been a big part of Chris' life, and he grew up exploring the red hills of the lower Flinders Ranges, riding bikes, and surfing in the Southern Ocean.

Sarah spent her childhood in the burbs of Philly, and then headed south to the University of Virginia for College. In 2001 she was awarded a fellowship in Adelaide, South Australia - a city she couldn't even find on a map. Little did she know that she would fall in love with the magical Aussie landscape - and despite her Mum's warning, an Aussie too.

In 2002 Sarah and Chris were married, and made a home in South Australia. Sarah and Chris spent as much time as possible outdoors, mountain biking, hiking, and tending their veggie garden. Both Sarah and Chris are true food lovers, and love to cook up feasts to share with friends and family.

When they moved to the United States in 2007 Chris quickly became homesick for all things Aussie - his mates, the beaches, cricket, vegemite and of course, meat pies. He couldn't believe that he couldn't find a decent pie or pastie in the U.S. - the Aussie lunchtime staple. To get him off her back Sarah started baking up batches of pies to satisfy his cravings, and a new business was born.
